Does anyone know how I can start a work placement in America? I am looking to expand my knowledge of Flash and Actionscript 3.0. Don't you think it's a bit illogical to rank people according to the number of answers they give? What I mean is, if I was a sad sort of person, I could page spam and then say "hey, look at me, I am number one, yayyy". Why not look at ratings too?

Does anyone know of a database which doesn't need an OS (or to put it another way, has the OS built into it)? As DBs typically get a machine to themselves, it surprises me they still typically sit on bulky operating systems.

What standards exist for retaining style formatting in mySQL? For example, say I have a database which includes chemical formulaes and I need to retain the sub or superscript within the database, what options are there? I'm currently using HTML tags.

I read DirectX 11 Introduces Multi-Threading, is the ability to utilize multiple cores not available in DirectX 10? If so is there a way to implement it? I don't see a reason to switch to 11 with the little GPU's that support it.
